[Non-Constitutional] Funds to Bolster Foundation’s Strategic Partnerships Budget
AI summary
This proposal asks the Arbitrum DAO to approve an allocation of 250 million ARB tokens to the Arbitrum Foundation. This funding is intended to bolster the Foundation's budget for strategic partnerships, allowing it to pursue more and larger deals that aim to grow the Arbitrum ecosystem. The Foundation states that current commitments limit its ability to engage in new, significant partnerships.
If passed, the Arbitrum Foundation will receive approximately $200 million (based on ARB's current price of $0.80) to fund strategic partnerships. This could lead to increased adoption and activity on Arbitrum networks, benefiting the entire ecosystem. The Foundation will report on these expenditures in its Q1 2025 transparency report. The main beneficiaries are the Arbitrum Foundation and projects that secure these partnerships; token holders bear the cost of the allocation.
