AI summary

This proposal, called DIP 2.0, aims to improve governance participation in the Arbitrum DAO by creating a new incentive program. It separates rewards for 'delegates' who vote and provide rationale, from 'contributors' who support the Arbitrum ecosystem. Contributors will be rewarded through a peer recognition system and 'Nudge Seasons' designed to encourage positive actions. This builds upon a previous Delegate Incentive Program.

Impact

If passed, this proposal will establish a structured system for rewarding active participants in the Arbitrum DAO, potentially increasing engagement and the quality of governance. Delegates will be incentivized for transparent voting, and contributors for their positive impact, which could lead to a more robust and active community. The proposal does not specify exact dollar amounts for rewards, so the financial impact on the treasury cannot be determined at this time.

Abstract

In order to foster good governance participation in the ArbitrumDAO, this proposal puts forward the DAO Incentive Program, distinguishing between delegates, rewarded for their voting record and public rationale, and contributors, rewarded through a peer recognition program and "Nudge Seasons" to encourage positive governance actions. Since it serves as a continuation of, and builds upon learnings from the [Delegate Incentive Program](https://www.tally.xyz/gov/arbitrum/proposal/7979895167029508946638584765496434407327098393519089113101189960001594458109?govId=eip155:42161:0x789fC990…
