[GIP-278] 3.0 Expiration amendment
AI summary
This proposal aims to migrate all users from Gearbox's older v3.0 protocol to the newer v3.1 by setting a new expiration date for all v3.0 Credit Accounts on Ethereum. Any Credit Account not migrated by February 17, 2026, will be automatically closed, with liquidation profits returned to users. This move is intended to reduce operational overhead and align with Gearbox's strategic shift towards being a neutral platform for credit products.
If passed, all users currently on Gearbox v3.0 will need to migrate their Credit Accounts to v3.1 by the specified date or face automatic closure. This benefits the DAO by streamlining operations and focusing resources on the more efficient v3.1, but requires action from v3.0 users. Liquidity Providers (LPs) are not affected and can withdraw funds at any time.

Summary
This proposal reschedules the expiration date for the sunset of all Credit Accounts in v3.0 markets on Ethereum.
The objective is to migrate all remaining activity to v3.1. Any Credit Account that does not migrate before the expiration date will be closed automatically. Liquidation profits (permium-execution loss) will be returned to users.
LPs are unaffected and may withdraw liquidity at any time.
Motivation
Continuing to support multiple protocol versions creates unnecessary operational overhead and limits the ability to focus on the more efficient and scalable v3.1 system.
